The tasting will be moderated by Global Brand Ambassador for Glenmorangie and Ardbeg, David Blackmore. This is a great opportunity to taste how a whisky changes both with additional time in the cask and by how a whisky flavor can change depending on the type of cask used and by what happens when you change how the barley is malted.
We are trying out a new venue this month. It will be our first tasting at The Dorrance in downtown Providence. This is really a beautiful restaurant with great food and a thriving cocktail culture. The Dorrance has been recognized by Bon Appetit as one the top 50 new restaurants in America.
In other news I recently attended WhiskyLive in Boston where I had the opportunity to speak with quite a few brands about bringing their whiskies to one of our future tastings and I think there’ll be some very special events in our future. In addition I tasted some amazing whiskies which I want other people to have the chance at tasting. I’ll have more on WhiskyLive in a later post.
